August saw a return to the platform lending levels seen in the first half of 2016 in Continental Europe after a slow July with origination volumes bouncing back to €53.8million. This is well over double the volume in the same period last year with YoY growth topping out at 110%.
French platform lender Younited Credit had their 3rd best month on record originating €16.5million in August, more than €5million more than in July and a 77% increase YoY. Overall, consumer lending remains robust reaching a new monthly record volume of €43.7million while business lending at €7.7million is lagging 50% below levels earlier this year and down 13% YoY.
