The first task for Starling’s latest hire will be leading the bank’s bid for an award from the RBS Capabilities and Innovation Fund.
Doignie joins Starling Bank from Ezbob, a software provider for banks and other financial institutions. He brings 18 years of experience in business and consumer lending as well as fraud prevention. Outside of work, Doignie has a keen interest in motor sport and is currently the UK National Drag Racing Champion.
Doignie's first tasks at Starling will be to lead the bank’s bid for an award from the RBS Capabilities and Innovation Fund. The £425m fund is designed to bring more competition to the small business banking market which the bank has announced its intentions to bid for a share of the capital.
