The Toronto Summit will focus on the scale-up challenges and opportunities in North America for alternative lenders, digital banks and financial services, both locally and those expanding from Europe.

In Europe AltFi is launching its Berlin Summit on 18 November at Steigenberger Hotel Am Kanzleramt in the heart of the German capital.
Topics on the agenda will include the brewing fintech backlash, Europe’s shifting regulatory landscape and where Open Banking goes next.
“Outside of London, Berlin is Europe’s hottest market for fintech and alternative finance with companies like N26 and Smava,” said AltFi editor Oliver Smith, who will be crafting the agenda for the Berlin Summit.
Last year AltFi held its European Summit in Amsterdam which was a roaring success with speakers including Anne Boden, CEO of Starling Bank, Conrad Ford, CEO of Funding Options, and Francesco Simoneschi, CEO of TrueLayer discussing European fintech trends and the alternative financing landscape.
