Ian Fuller announced his departure from Freetrade no more than two weeks ago and has already found himself a new home in WeGift.

Fuller revealed he’ll be joining the digital rewards platform as chief technology officer and will oversee the engineering team to guide the business as it continues on its expansion plans.

Of his new role, Fuller said: “WeGift has already captured significant market share in the B2B digital rewards industry with customers like Habito, Perkbox, Seated, and Vodafone.”

“On top of that, Aron has assembled a team with some of the very best talent in the payments space. Testament to the team’s work so far is its impressive growth to date and I’m excited to be part of the next chapter as the business continues to expand.”

As well as experience of working in a digital startup, Fuller will bring more than two decades of experience from some of the world’s biggest tech companies with him to WeGift.

The Freetrade co-founder first joined the investment platform in July 2018 as VP of engineering, coming from Snapchat where he worked in the same building as Freetrade at the time.

During his time at Freetrade, Fuller was responsible for a whole host of Freetrade’s most popular products, such as its ISA, Android app, fractional shares and its Invest Platform.
