Monese has appointed former Premium Credit Limited transformation director Alistair Bennett as its new chief product officer.
Continuing the overhaul to its senior leadership team, digital banking service Monese has brought in a new chief product officer.
Alistair Bennett, formerly a transformation director at Premium Credit Limited, brings 20 years of experience in products and financial services to the role.
Bennett also previously held roles at Barclays, Thomson Reuters, UBS, Lloyds Bank, RBS Group and Mazars as a change lead, consultant and advisor.
“Monese’s mission to empower hard workers and heavy lifters really resonated with me,” Bennett said.
“I’m a firm believer that technology should open doors for people, improve lives and allow them to thrive.”
Bennett will be responsible for “delivering outstanding customer experiences” and taking product capability to “the next level”.
Subject to approval from the Financial Conduct Authority, Bennett will also join Monese’s Leadership Team.
This follows several new appointments to Monese’s senior leadership team in October 2021 from Revolut and JP Morgan in a push for banking-as-a-service (BaaS).
Atul Choudrie was made managing director of of its BaaS business, Steve Truner was made CFO and Stephen Chang became VP Operations.
The company has also sought to strengthen operations beyond its leadership, launching its Credit Builder earlier this year, and raising around $90m in Series C funding with Investic last September, its new strategic partner.
“Alistair’s product leadership will help push our consumer and BaaS platforms forward, ensuring they go from strength to strength,” Norris Koppel, founder and CEO of Monese, said.
“This and our recent leadership appointments will help push us forward during our next phase of growth and fully deliver on our mission,” he added.
