Partner, Head of Crowdfunding

Since launching britishairways.com in 1994, Julia has led a series of start ups in the digital and environmental sectors, and invested a combination of her time and money in a portfolio of sustainable businesses. Julia co-founded the UK Crowdfunding Association in 2012, was CEO of a p2b lending platform for four years and is now a partner at Downing LLP, leading the crowdfunding business www.downingcrowd.co.uk, offering asset-backed bonds to retail investors. She has been instrumental in reforming regulation for crowd investors, and in the creation of the new Innovative Finance ISA. She is a member of Innovate 50 in the UK, recently completed a two year Non Executive Director role at Move Your Money and is a senior fellow of the Finance Lab.
