Raj Bhat is Head of Group Capital Management at Prospa, Australia’s number one online lender to small business. He has been involved in a wide suite of debt and capital market products for the financial services sector and has extensive experience advising fintech businesses on new funding platforms. Raj helped Prospa establish its inaugural securitisation program and secure an investment grade rating by Moody’s, the first rated ABS issuance of its kind in the Australasian market. Prior to joining Prospa, Raj was a Partner at KPMG, where he led the firm’s Debt Advisory Services focussing on the financial services sector. Over the past decade, Raj has been involved in over $5bn in capital raising across a range of ASX listed and privately held Australasian finance companies, banks, credit unions and government departments. He has also served as Vice President at Barclays Capital and held roles at Westpac, ANZ and HSBC in India.
