Sachin is responsible for institutional funding and product structuring, execution and distribution in Europe at Funding Circle. Funding Circle is the world’s leading direct lending platform for small business finance. Set up in 2010, investors have lent £2.5 billion to 28,000 businesses across the UK, US and Europe (Jan 2017). In the UK, lending through Funding Circle has contributed £2.7 billion to the economy and supported the creation of 50,000 new jobs. Funding Circle loans are funded by a diverse array of investors including 60,000 individuals, hedge funds, investment banks, family offices and endowment funds, asset managers, credit funds, pension funds and the first single platform direct lending fund - Funding Circle SME Income Fund (FCIF). Funding Circle loans were the first loans originated through a direct lending platform to be securitised in Europe (SBOLT 2016-1). Prior to Funding Circle, Sachin held a number of roles within the structured products, fixed income & credit solutions businesses at JPMorgan and Barclays.
